Influenced by designs from centuries-old fretwork clocks, the Columbus clock has the look of a precious family heirloom that came from “the old country”. It measures approx. 18″ wide, 30″ tall and 8″ deep when completed. It features four sets of hinged doors on the side panels, a round opening in the front panel to view the swinging pendulum, a scroll sawn dial, ornamental overlays, pedestal style base, balcony, ornate gable ornament and numerous brackets. All can be greatly enhanced by using various species and contrasting colors of woods. Two doors on the back of the clock provide access to the clock movement and pendulum. Plans include 22 pages (11″ x 17”) of patterns, illustrations, detailed instructions, and a materials list.
